The Kona Coast Resort at Keauhou Gardens is a 4-star resort
located on the north end of Keauhou Bay in Kailua-Kona, Big Island, Hawaii -
approximately four and a half miles south of the Kailua-Kona Town Center or the Kailua-Kona Pier.
The resort has 21 acres of beautiful manicured gardens - hence the name Keauhou Gardens. The accommodations consist of 30 buildings with 240 units split between phase
I (Keauhou Gardens with 112 units) and phases II & III (Kona Coast Resort at Keauhou Gardens with 128 units). All of the units of phase II and III at the resort
are time share rentals as are 68 of the units in phase I. There are 44 privately owned units are located in phase I consisting of 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom and 3-bedroom units located ocean view, fairway front, and fairway view and
the resort is surrounded by the Kona Country Club's Ocean Course and across the street from the Keauhou Shopping Center.

The Kona Coast Resort is located in the center of the Kona Coast, in the Keauhou area which is known
for calm winds and warm, sunny days because it is located on the leaward side of Mauna Kea, the 13,796 foot high (above sea level)
mountain that is the highest point in all of the Hawaiian Islands. In fact, if Mauna Kea's height is measured from its base
(18,000 feet below sea level), it surpasses even Mount Everest as the world's highest mountain (31,796 ft.)
Before moderm times when the trade winds were blowing cold winter air down from the northeast, the Hawaiians
would travel to the Keauhou Bay area for shelter and warmth.
There is an on-site restaurant open for breakfast, lunch and dinner adjacent to the main pool and recreation facilities.
Resort features include free parking for all guests, two swimming pools, a lighted tennis court,
basketball court, volleyball court, fitness facility, barbeque areas, gift shop, sauna, and poolside bar and restaurant.

The Kona Coast Resort has a front desk managed by Shell
Vacations timeshare management and they manage the majority of the units at the Kona Coast Resort.
Some of the other units are rented directly by owners, like the condo on this web site, while others are rented through local property management companies or the owners don't rent them at all.
All ammenities at the resort are available to resort guests and the resort is within walking distance of golf, tennis, SCUBA,
snorkeling, shopping, cinemas and restaurants.
