Year-round you can watch the charter fishing boats as come and go from Keauhou Bay and the Kailua-Kona Pier and sometimes you
can even see them catching large fish just off shore. In the winter months (Jan - Mar) you'll sometimes see whales playing less than
50 yards from shore. At any time of the year, weather permitting, you can watch the sun setting into the deep blue Pacific Ocean
and on clear evenings you might even catch a green flash just after the sun dips below the horizon of the ocean.
